Zientzia Kaiera is a digital medium published in Basque language by the Chair of Scientific Culture of the University of the Basque Country.
Not forgetting the general public, the people of secondary or higher education have been especially considered when creating the blog. It contains all kinds of scientific works, written by journalists, teachers or researchers.
Mujeres con Ciencia
The blog Mujeres con Ciencia was created to show what women in science and technology do and have done.
This blog contains biographies, interviews, events, milestones and all kinds of chronicles or relevant events. It aims to making known the existence of these women, their work and the circumstances in which they develop and have developed.
Cuaderno de Cultura Científica
Cuaderno de Cultura Científica is a blog that publishes daily in Spanish about Science and Technology.
It covers a wide range of topics by specialized writers, journalists and scientists.
Mapping Ignorance
The blog Mapping Ignorance publishes in English articles on science and technology for a more specialized public.
Experts in various fields write high-level articles about the results of recent investigations.
Katedra app
The Chair of Scientific Culture of the Unversity of the Basque Country has developed a mobile app for all its content, events, videos, podcast and channels. The application is available in three languages: Basque, Spanish and English.
All the contents of Zientzia Kaiera, Cuaderno de Cultura Científica, Mujeres con Ciencia, Katedra.eus and Mapping Ignorance are available in the application.
50 urte Zientzia eta Teknologia zabaltzen
The Faculty of Science and Technology of the UPV/EHU turned 50 in 2020 and, to celebrate, 53 science articles were published in Cuaderno de Cultura Científica and Zientzia Kaiera.
At the end of the 50th anniversary, a collection of the articles was published as a book.
Zientziaren uretan
This book contains a selection of articles published on Zientzia Kaiera between 2014 and 2022.
The goal is to have science within reach, and to plunge as many people as possible into the waters of science.
Emakumea zientzian
The Chair of Scientific Culture of the University of the Basque Country edited the Basque version of the book La mujer en la ciencia, an initiative of the Science Museum of the University of Navarre.
The book contains biographies of women scientists who are important in their respective fields, but unknown to the general public. In addition, it can also serve as an outreach tool for schools, as each chapter contains different activities for schoolchildren.
