The Chair of Scientific Culture of the University of the Baque Country’s work has been recognized over the years:

Prismas Awards

Prismas Awards is an initiative by Museos Científicos Coruñeses (A Coruña City Hall) to recognize scientific dissemination and to help proffesionals in the field. It is the most important recognition given in the field of scientific dissemination in Spain. The Special Award is one of the categories and it is presented to organizations that have distinguished themselves in a special way for their scientific outreach work.

The Chair of Scientific Culture of the University of the Baque Country won the Prismas Prize in Special Category in 2014.


Buber Awards

The Buber Awards have been presented to the best Basque websites or mobile apps since the year 2000. Buber is the Internet nickname of Blas Pedro Uberuaga. This physicist created the first website dedicated to the Basque Country in 1994.

The blog Mujeres con Ciencia won the Buber Prize in 2017.


March 8th Getafe Prize

The Getafe City Hall organizes these awards to recognize the work for the real equality of people.

The blog Mujeres con Ciencia got a special mention in 2017.


NovaGob Excellence Award

The awards, organized by the Novagob Foundation, reward the most innovative projects of entities and individuals in the Ibero-American public sector.

The blog Mujeres con Ciencia got the 2018 NovaGob Award for Gender Equality.


Recognition of the work done in the field of the Basque language and Basque culture

It is an award by the UPV/EHU in recognition of the work done in the field of the Basque language and the Basque culture.

The Chair of Scientific Culture of the University of the Baque Country received recognition for its work in this field in 2023.


Zirgari award

It is an award by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and BBK. Its aim is to endorse advances in equality.
