The Chair of Scientific Culture of the University of the Basque Country publishes the Basque edition of the Science School Calendar.

The project is aimed at primary and secondary school students, and includes an anniversary of science and technology every day.

Ciencia Show

In order to foster interest in science and arouse the curiosity of young people, the Chair organizes the Ciencia Show educational program in collaboration with the Big Van scientific monologuist team.

Students attend a monologue session that combines humor and science so they can later record a short video performing a monologue of their own dealing with a scientific subject. At the same time, a training course is offered to participating teachers.

Naukas BCAM – Pi Day workshops

On March 14th, the Chair of Scientific Culture of the University of the Basque Country celebrates Pi Number Day with the Basque Center for Applied Mathematics (BCAM) and the Naukas platform.

The workshops bring the Pi number and Mathematics closer to the younger ones in a playful and attractive way, organizing papiroflexia workshops, gigantic games, wonderful fractals, etc.

Naukas Kids

An initiative aimed at the youngest in Naukas. It consists of workshops, shows, experiences, games, etc., to awaken the curiosity of children and young people as well as to enjoy science.

All the activities of Naukas Kids are designed to show how attractive science can be, so that they are encouraged to engage in it; but, above all, they aim to prove that learning and enjoyment have no age limit.

With the  Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Big Van Ciencia project, students in 1st and 2nd ESO will be offered strategies and tools to detect false content related to science and technology on social media, especially TikTok,
