SUMMARY:Katedra\, customized scientific content in the mobile phone
DESCRIPTION:Xehetasunak \n\n\n\n\nData eta ordua:  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEgoitza \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nUPV/EHU’s Scientific Culture Chair has developed a mobile app. All the videos\, articles\, events\, podcasts and every other content in the mobile phone. The app supports three languages: Basque\, Spanish and English. \n\n\n\nContents from Zientzia Kaiera\, Cuaderno de Cultura Científica\, Mujeres con Ciencia\, Mapping Ignorance and Zientzia.info will feed the app\, including articles\, events\, podcasts\, videos\, etc. \n\n\n\nThe app is available for Android and iOS. After installing\, the user can set up the app language and subscribe to the contents of interest. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe user can choose the type of content by both\, language and subject. The app offers contents published in Basque\, Spanish and English and the user can subscribe to contents in one or more than one language. \n\n\n\nThere are twelve subjects to choose from: Mathematics\, Physics\, Chemistry\, Biology\, Geosciences\, Astronomy\, Neuroscience\, Medicine\, Technology\, History\, Philosophy of Science and Gender and Science. Again\, the user can subscribe to one\, any combination of them or all of them. \n\n\n\nThe interface is divided in four sections: Inbox\, Blogs\, Events and Videos. \n\n\n\nInbox \n\n\n\nAt first\, this section will be empty. When new content of the subscribed subjects and languages is published\, the user will receive a notification\, once the notification is opened the contents will appear in Inbox. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBlogs \n\n\n\nAll five blogs of the Scientific Culture Chair are available here and can be surfed within the app. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvents \n\n\n\nEvents in the subscribed languages are listed here. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVideos \n\n\n\nAs they are published\, the videos appear in this section. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEnjoy scientific’s contents in summer with Katedra!

SUMMARY:Molecular approaches\, methods and techniques in animal ecology
DESCRIPTION:Xehetasunak \n\n\n\n\nData eta ordua:  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEgoitza \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMolecular ecology comprises a wide diversity of genetic-based methodological and technical approaches to address ecological and evolutionary questions. This course will focus on general concepts\, current techniques and key aspects for the experimental design of molecular studies applied to animal ecology using bats as model species. Particularly\, the course will go into detail about population genomics\, DNA metabarcoding for diet studies and shotgun metagenomics applied to gut microbiota. \n\n\n\nObjectives\n\n\n\nThis course aims to provide students with the necessary theoretical and technical ground for choosing appropriate approaches and for developing correct experimental designs when conceiving molecular studies of wildlife ecology.
